1. This duct is known as the pronephric duct, mesonephric duct or Wolffian duct. 2. This part of the frog is called the mesonephric duct . 3. Without testosterone and AMH, the mesonephric ducts degenerate and disappear. 4. These are the mesonephric ducts and paramesonephric ducts. 5. In the female the mesonephric ducts regresses, causing the trigone to be less prominent, but still present. 6. Testosterone converts the mesonephric ducts into male accessory structures, including the epididymis, vas deferens, and seminal vesicle. 7. They degenerate in males of certain species, but the adjoining mesonephric ducts develop into male reproductive organs. 8. In females, the mesonephric ducts regress. 9. The paramesonephric ducts and the mesonephric ducts share a majority of the same mesenchyme due to Hox gene expression. 10. This vesicle then elongates to form the " mesonephric tubule ", attaching to the mesonephric duct on one side.
